Proving that a route delivers messages intact, on time and through the expected path.
Technical definition
Route assurance submits identified test messages and compares sender ID, content, encoding, parts, message centre and timing at the handset with the submission and with gateway and firewall records, producing a verdict.
Why it matters
It is the only way to detect downstream manipulation that DLRs hide.
