Deployment and high availability
Software-only platforms, deployed where your network needs them
Every Guardivia product runs on Linux on commodity hardware and is designed for redundant operation. Sizing and redundancy are engineered per deployment during traffic baselining.
How are Guardivia platforms deployed?
Guardivia platforms are software-only and run on Linux on standard servers, on bare metal or virtual machines, in a data centre, colocation facility, cloud or hybrid environment where validated. Security products start in monitoring mode before enforcement. Options include customer-operated, Guardivia-hosted and fully managed deployments under agreed SLAs.
Deployment options
- Linux on commodity x86 servers
- Bare metal or virtual machines
- Data-centre and colocation
- Cloud or hybrid where validated
- Standalone module or integrated suite
- Monitoring, hybrid and enforcement modes for security products
- Customer-operated, hosted or fully managed
Availability design
Redundancy at every layer
Nodes
Active-active or active-standby pairs per product; persistent message and evidence stores.
Service addresses
VRRP-protected addresses so ESMEs and peers bind to one stable endpoint; PCC-based session distribution where applicable.
Signaling
Redundant SIGTRAN associations and Diameter peers; multi-homed SCTP.
Sites
Geographic redundancy where supported; replicated configuration and rules.
Throughput, latency and availability figures are established for each deployment through laboratory validation, performance testing and traffic baselining, and are documented in the engagement rather than published here.
Validation
Before production
- Laboratory validation and interoperability testing
- Staging deployment and monitoring-mode operation
- Traffic baselining
- High-availability and failover testing
- Performance testing against agreed criteria
- Production-readiness review
- Controlled production activation
- Knowledge transfer to operations teams
FAQ
Deployment questions
What deployment models are available?
Software-only on Linux, on bare metal or virtual machines, in your data centre or colocation facility, with cloud or hybrid options where validated for the target environment, and hosted or fully managed options operated by Guardivia.
Is proprietary signaling hardware required?
No. SIGTRAN carries SS7 over IP on standard servers. TDM/E1 integration is available where a network still requires it.
Are uptime figures guaranteed?
Availability targets are defined and measured in each contract. This website does not publish generic availability guarantees.
